35+ Working Moms

It's hard to believe that I am going to be 40 in December and that I am a mother of a 10 year old and 2 1/2 year old.

How does everyone get everything that needs to get done in a day done? I use to be able to do it all and still have enough energy to do things for myself. I was much younger when I had my first child and had more energy than I do now. I haven't quite figured how people do but so that I don't drive myself completely insane I've prioritized.

My children and husband come first then household chores. When we get home my daughter (2 1/2 yr old) wants to play and have my undivided attention. Which is kind of hard since my son (10 yr old) wants me to watch him do tricks on his skateboard or watch his latest stunts on his bike. Now if my son has baseball practice we head up there with a loaf of bread and while he's at practice we're playing on the playground and feeding the ducks. Everyone wins on that day :)

After the kids go to bed I then attempt to laundry and other household chores. Some days things get done and other days the second I sit down for even a minute I am just too exhausted to get back up. There just aren't enough hours in the day!

I have to admit that I am probably the biggest baby when it comes to pain. So when I was younger (high school/early 20's) I seriously never thought I would have children. Now I can't imagine my life WITHOUT them in it no matter how old I am.
