Enjoy Your Mother's Day!

Mother's Day.....

Why is it that we only get honored once a year, and at best, when we have young kids, our husbands MIGHT remember to get us a card!

Today I was honored to attend a Mother's Day Tea hosted by my daughter's Kindergarten class. It was wonderful to see that about 95% of the mom's were in attendance, whether they work or stay at home. And those that couldn't attend made sure someone (usually grandma) was there in their place. It was probably one of the sweetest, most precious days I've yet to experience as a mother. The kids had been working hard over the past couple of weeks making coursages out of coffee filters, as well as other arts and crafts to give to their mommy's. We were also enterained with a song and dance performed by the class, which was followed with tea and cake.

Today made me realize that Mother's Day isn't about the store bought candy, flowers and gifts that we get, though they are nice. It's about the memories we make with our children, day in and day out.

While we only celebrate Mother's Day once a year, I believe that everyday is Mother's Day, as once we become mother's our lives change forever. There will never be another day in your life when you won't have a child looking up to you and watching what you do. So cherish these days and have a wonderful Mother's Day on Sunday!
